Pinterest

So unless you have been living under a rock, you know about Pinterest. I just learned about it last fall --of course, this is after planning my sister's bridal shower, bachelorette party, my wedding, my cousin's bridal shower and my sister's baby shower. So I am chomping at the bit to plan a party now (let me know if you have any coming up)!! This is an amazing tool for planning parties, but also great for SO many things. I currently use it most for crafting projects, recipes and style ideas. I thought I would share with you some of my favorite things found on Pinterest.

Crafting
I was looking for a simple project to keep expanding my sewing skills. I came across this project and thought I could do it. I have made many for my husband's co-workers, my wine club ladies and my family. The more I make, the better I get, and I love it!

Here is a link to the directions:

And here is my masterpiece:

Recipe
I made this treat my husband's work Superbowl party and it was a hit. It was also a hit the next week for his co-workers as a snack during those long days. It's a red velvet dessert cheese ball. It was really easy to make (with a strong husband to hand mix when the mixer malfunctioned).
Ingredients
1 stick butter
1 package of cream cheese
1 1/2 cup red velvet cake mix
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
mini chocolate chips

Instructions
In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add in the red velvet cake mix, the brown sugar and the powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and combined.
Turn the mixture out onto a piece of plastic wrap. Wrap up into a ball and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Put the chocolate chips on a plate or in a shallow dish. Remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator and unwrap. Roll in the chocolate chips.  Place on a serving plate and serve with cookies or graham crackers.

Style
This is where I get into trouble. I see so many outfits and dresses that I really want and can't have (because if you know me and my husband, you know we are cheap). But, I can try to copy the outfits I see on Pinterest with either the clothes I have, or similar clothes from Target or Kohl's. I also think this outfit looks like "New Girl" :)
This look has been one that I really want to do:

I haven't yet put it together, but can't wait. Maybe I'll hit the stores some night after work this week as the hubby will be working late and won't notice :)

Happy Pinning!
